The Not Sabbatical

I’m laughing my ass off over here.  CookieCakes is going on sabbatical and thinks I’m going with her!  Little does she know.

While she’s off doing whatever it is she needs to do, she won’t be paying any attention whatsoever to what I’m doing in her absence.  That silly dog and stupid teddy bear best watch out.  ShadowPaws and I intend to make the most of things.

Another Year Down

The cold, dark winter is upon us.

Year 2016 is about to end.

You might have noted my frequent absences.  I’ve been very busy this year.  I can’t tell you where I’ve been or what I’ve been doing the last couple of months – if I did, I would then have to kill you.

Suffice it to say that I have accomplished much.

An egotistical sociopath is about to become President of the United States.  While I can’t take credit for that, I will say that I am quite happy about it.  The domestic upheavals surrounding the election were right up my alley – ’cause you all know how much I love to spread peace and good cheer.  Especially at home.

Speaking of which – CookieCakes (a/k/a Cordelia’s Mom,  for those of you new to this site) is miserable in her new job, and stressed out to the point that she can’t even think up blog posts, much less write and publish them.  I’m glad to see that.  As you all know, the goal of this mirror blog has always been to drive CookieCakes out of the blogosphere, and I’ve failed at that.  In fact, it would seem that my entering the dark side of blogging has actually helped CookieCakes to maintain her presence here on WordPress.  People still seem to love her, even though I am the much better blogger.

Go figure.

There have been many changes in the main site over the last year.  CookieCakes turned more to photography and less to writing, both of which she totally sucks at, don’t you agree?  Her kids never should have given her that camera last year, they created a monster that we’ve all had to tolerate.  But I’ve noticed that her efforts at photography have also lagged because of that new job.  Apparently it’s hard to go out on photo shoots when you’re exhausted from working all day and all week.  I wouldn’t know seeing as I’ve never had to “work”, and I’m glad I can live stress free in the dark recesses of CookieCakes’ mind.

No one’s seen Teddy Rosalie or Puppy Cody around much, either, in the last few months.  While I personally am happy not to deal with those losers, my ShadowPaws misses them.  ShadowPaws also misses the collaborated posts that used to appear over on Cordelia’s Mom, Still – apparently those have become history.

Guess ShadowPaws and I will have to find new ways of causing mayhem.  Let me put on my thinking cap.  Should be lots of room for my ideas since CookieCakes’ mind is otherwise engaged in the hassle of daily living.  I’m ready to spread my wings and fly!

But I think I’ll wait for warmer weather.  I don’t like going out in the cold any more than CookieCakes does.

See you all in the Spring.  In the meantime, don’t any of you do anything I wouldn’t do.
